Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC) is pleased to announce the acceptance of our candidate Hussain Mohamed for the XX Executive Masters in Sport Organisations Management (MEMOS) programme. The Secretary General of Volleyball Association of Maldives, Hussain Mohamed is among the 39 participants that were selected from the pool of 80 candidates who applied for the programme from different nations across the world.
The MEMOS programme is scheduled over twelve months and consists of three nine-day residential modules, each dedicated to two main subjects, and a three-day final module devoted to the defense and presenting of participants’ personal project. The first and last modules take place in Lausanne, while the second and the third are organised in different cities. In addition, the participants will undertake a study project concerning the management of a sport organisation, in principle the one in which they are active. Two days in the middle of each module will be dedicated to the coaching of the participants on their projects by their tutors. The defense and public presentation of these projects, as well as the awarding of the degrees take place in Lausanne, during the fourth module.
Hussain Mohamed previously represented Maldives Olympic Committee, at the 19th Commonwealth Games 2010 held in New Delhi, India as the Chef de Mission of the Maldivian contingent. Apart from this, Hussain Mohamed has also been working as a pioneering educator of the International Olympic Committee’s Basic Administration Course (BSAC) held in the Maldives. He is among the first three people who were trained as qualified course directors for this course since its inception in 2012 and he has been helping Maldives Olympic Committee to deliver this course ever since then.
