Partners for MVsports initiated by Marzooq Ahmed, the Secretary General of Maldives Olympic Committee received its first pledge from Oreedoo today on the 31st of August 2016. The program, Partners for MVsports is aimed towards developing partnerships with local establishments to facilitate development opportunities for talented local young athletes.
For their support towards Partners for MVsports, Oreedoo Maldives was awarded with a special baton by Marzooq Ahmed. This partnership between Oreedoo and MOC will support MOC’s Scholarship programs targeted for the advancement of young athletes. The scholarship program which is aimed towards connecting talented athletes to training programs, will strengthen their abilities, and assist them in improving their performance.
In a statement made at the press conference the CEO of Oreedoo Maldives, Vikram Sinha said: “Ooredoo is proud to work with key partners that share our vision of supporting human growth. Maldives Olympic Committee has continued to inspire young people to realise their potential in sports, and achieve new heights on both local and international sports arenas. We are pleased to support their work in taking this program to the next level.”
For their support towards the program, Marzooq Ahmed esteemed Ooredoo’s contributions towards the development of local athletes, and encouraged other local companies to follow Oreedoo’s lead in supporting the future of sports in the Maldives.
CEO of Ooredoo Maldives recently completed the #TrainingWithMvChamps Challenged by Marzooq Ahmed. The challenge that is now becoming popular has been accepted and concluded by renowned local individuals including government and business leaders and celebrities.
